These Terms of Use govern your use of the Yap60 app and this website, provided by Yap60 (Luke Tervit). By using Yap60 you agree to these terms.
Acceptance of terms
If you do not agree to these terms, do not use Yap60.
Description of service
Yap60 provides speaking prompts, recordings, transcripts, AI-generated feedback, suggested rewrites, and progress tracking where those features are enabled.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) to use Yap60.
Account responsibilities
You are responsible for the security of any account credentials and for activity that occurs through your account.
Subscriptions and billing
Paid subscriptions are sold through the Apple App Store. Billing, renewals and refunds are handled by Apple subject to its terms.
Free trial
Where a free trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the end of the trial through your Apple ID subscription settings.
Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel any time via Apple ID subscription settings. Refunds are handled by Apple where applicable.
Acceptable use
- Do not use Yap60 for unlawful purposes.
- Do not attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse the service.
- Do not upload content that infringes others' rights.
User content (audio and transcripts)
You retain ownership of your recordings and transcripts. You grant Yap60 a limited licence to process them solely to provide the service.
AI feedback disclaimer
- AI feedback may be inaccurate or incomplete.
- Yap60 is not professional, medical, legal, or therapeutic advice.
- Yap60 is not a replacement for a speech therapist or qualified coach.
Privacy
Use of Yap60 is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
Intellectual property
The Yap60 name, brand, app and website content are owned by Yap60.
App Store terms
The Apple Standard EULA (the Licensed Application End User License Agreement) applies to your use of Yap60, except where these Terms or our additional terms specifically override it. You can review Apple's terms at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula.
Disclaimers
Yap60 is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Yap60 will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Yap60.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are breached.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
